This journey is more than a Trail...
This journey is more than a trek—it is an invitation to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with yourself, nature, and the ancient wisdom of the Andes. As we follow centuries-old Inca Trails, we are introduced to an Andean worldview in which nature is regarded as a living source of connection, inspiration, and awareness. Along the way, we slow down, embrace a gentler pace, and create space to be truly present—to listen, observe, and experience the journey with all our senses. Each step becomes an opportunity to deepen our connection with the mountains, the landscape, and ourselves.

You descend about 1,700 meters down to the Apurímac River, followed by a 1,500-meter climb up to Choquequirao. On days 4 and 5, you retrace this route in the opposite direction. That is why a good level of fitness is required to complete this trek.
Hiking this trek is at its most beautiful during a full moon in the dry season. We therefore select the departure date that best aligns with these conditions, also taking into account the timing of the full moon in Peru.
Choquequirao is located in a remote area of the Andes and receives only a fraction of the visitors that Machu Picchu attracts. The silence, the breathtaking natural surroundings, and the mysterious Inca ruins create an atmosphere of reflection and a deep sense of connection with the landscape.
The journey requires perseverance and takes you far away from inhabited areas. The rhythm of walking, the physical effort, and the breathtaking surroundings make the trip a deeply personal and spiritual experience for many travelers.
Choquequirao was likely an important Inca city where administration, trade, and religious ceremonies came together. Due to its remote location and impressive architecture, archaeologists believe the city also held a significant spiritual meaning for the Incas.
